Ken Buehler: Owner / Operator

 Ken launched Buehler Automotive & Transmission Inc. in April 1996.  He holds an Inter Provincial Seal for Automotive  Service Technician as well as Truck & Coach Technician. He also has certifications for Heavy & Light Duty Emissions Inspector/ Repair, and Level 6/7A WreckMaster Towing & Recovery Operator. Ken strives to achieve high customer service standards and to educate his customers in the importance of regular preventive maintenance.  He rises to the challenge of solving any driveability problems.

Ken has a passion for motorcycling, photography and writing (He is the author of the monthly Booster Articles).  He also is a retired Firefighter from the Mapleton Fire Department with 27 years of service...

 

Bev Wendland: General Manager / Business Administrator

Bev has over 30 years of accounting experience with 20 of those in the automotive industry.  She joins Ken in setting and achieving high customer service standards. Bev believes that there is something new to learn everyday.  She enjoys researching and collecting various “sayings” that are posted on our street sign bi-weekly and also critiques the monthly Booster articles.

As well as being an active bowler, she coaches the Junior and Senior YBC Bowling league in Elmira and holds a Level II Coaching Certificate. 

Gary Benallick:  Service Manager /  Automotive Technician

Gary has been with Buehler Automotive since it's inception in 1996. He holds his Automotive Service as well as his Truck and Coach Technician Certificates with an Inter Provincial seal since 1979. Gary attends to the general repair side of the business.

In his off hours, Gary enjoys spending time with his family and working in his backyard.

 Dan Stinson:  Automotive Technician

Dan achieved his  Automotive Service, Truck and Coach Technician Certificate as well as his Heavy Equipment license in 1988 with an Inter-Provincial seal. He is our resident Diagnostic Troubleshooter and Emissions Repair Technician. Dan is always busy taking additional training courses as they become available.

 Dan is a nature nut and enjoys hiking , snow-shoeing, and canoeing, as well as taking photo's along the way, on his property near Gorrie.

Chris Self: Automotive Technician & Emissions Inspection

Chris achieved his Automotive Service Technician certificate in November 2005. He is our resident Light & Heavy Duty Emissions Inspector and continually impresses us with his electrical repair expertise.

Chris resides in Fergus  and enjoys entertaining his daughter Emily as well as working with computers, snowmobiles and most recently renovating his newly purchased house.

Tim Hume: Licensed Automotive Technician

Tim received his Automotive Service Technician certification in 1981 along with his Truck and Coach License. He grew up in the automotive repair environment with his father operating Hume's Service in Everton.  He eventually ran his own shop for 10 years in Elora, but joined our team in November 2000.  He enjoys engine and suspension problems and repairs. 

As well as spending time with his family, Tim enjoys snowmobile touring in the winter and boating in the summer at the family cottage near Parry Sound.

Gar Woods:  Transmission Shop Manager

Gar, has over 25 years experience as a transmission specialist.  He is a graduate of Wilfred Laurier University (BA, 1977) and holds a Service Technician Certificate. Gar is committed to providing our customers with quality service utilizing the most current information.  He enjoys teaching and sharing his experience with staff members keeping them current in today's market.

Attention to detail is a strong issue with Gar, fostering his operating motto "The job is not done until all the T's are crossed and the I's dotted.

Gar's passion for muscle car restoration and hot rod building makes him an excellent resource person for special interest vehicles.

Chris Woods: Transmission Rebuilder/Licensed Automotive Technician

Chris achieved his Automotive Service Technician as well as his Truck and Coach Technician certification in 1992.  He has recently joined our team  (November 2006) as Transmission Rebuilder.  He comes to us with experiences from a Ford Dealership, Tire Specialist Shop and Transmission Shop  

Chris's hobbies include coin collecting, gardening, metal fabricating and digital photography.    

Tyler Bresson:  Automotive Apprentice

Upon graduating from Centre Wellington District Secondary School in 2006, Tyler chose to pursue a career in the automotive industry.  He is in his first year of apprenticing, and has recently received his Emissions Inspector Certification. Tyler enjoys the transmission specialty and feels that professionalism is learning something new each day.

Tyler also grew up in an automotive environment sparking  interests in cars, snowmobiles, motorcycles, outdoor activities and sports.
